Agreeing to these terms

These terms apply to your use of artboutin.com (the "website"), which is operated by Art Boutin ("Art," "we," "us"). By using the website or sending a claim-review request, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

Who Art is

Art Boutin is a Texas insurance appraiser and licensed Texas public insurance adjuster (Texas Department of Insurance license # [TDI LICENSE #]). Art is not a law firm or an attorney and does not give legal advice. Questions about what your policy covers or about legal deadlines should go to a licensed Texas attorney.

Information on this website

The website gives general information about property insurance claims, appraisal, and public adjusting in Texas. It is not advice about your particular claim, and it may not reflect the latest changes in law or practice. Any examples or sample estimates are illustrations, not promises. Every claim depends on its own facts and policy terms, and we do not guarantee any result.

Free claim reviews

A claim review is free and you are under no obligation to hire us. Sending a request, calling, or talking with Art does not create a client relationship and does not mean Art will take your claim. Art may decline any claim, for example because of a conflict of interest or because the claim falls outside the work he does.

Hiring Art

Art represents you only after you both sign a written contract. Its terms control over anything on this website.

  • Public adjusting uses the contract form required by the Texas Department of Insurance. Texas law caps a public adjuster's fee at 10% of the claim payment, including expenses, and you may cancel the contract within 72 hours after signing it.
  • Appraisal work is billed at a fee quoted in writing before work starts.
  • One role per claim. Art does not act as both your public adjuster and your appraiser on the same claim, because an appraiser must be impartial.

Information you send

Please give accurate, complete information. Do not send policy numbers, bank details, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive documents through the website form; Art will tell you a secure way to share documents if he takes your claim. When you check the consent box, you agree to be contacted by phone, text, or email as described in the Privacy Policy. Reply STOP to stop text messages.

Using the website

Please do not misuse the website: no false requests, spam, automated scraping, attempts to break or overload the site, or anything unlawful.

Content and illustrations

The text, illustrations, logos, and design on the website belong to Art Boutin or are used with permission. You may view and share pages for personal use, but you may not copy, change, or reuse them for commercial purposes without written permission.

No warranties

The website is provided "as is." We work to keep it accurate and available, but we do not promise it will always be complete, current, or free of errors or interruptions.

Limit of liability

To the fullest extent Texas law allows, Art Boutin is not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using the website or relying on its general information. This does not limit any rights you have under a signed contract with Art or under Texas law that cannot be waived.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute about the website will be handled in a state or federal court located in Texas.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The new version takes effect when posted here, and the date at the top shows when it last changed.
