Who we are

This website, artboutin.com, is operated by Art Boutin, a Texas insurance appraiser and licensed Texas public insurance adjuster ("Art," "we," "us"). This policy explains what information we collect through the website, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you request a claim review, we collect what you enter in the form:

  • Your name, phone number, and (if you choose) email address
  • The kind of help you need, the property type, the type of damage, the approximate size of the loss, and where your claim stands
  • The property's ZIP code and anything you write in the description box
  • Your consent to be contacted

If you call, text, or email us, we keep what you tell us so we can help with your claim.

Information collected automatically. When you submit the form, it also sends the page you were on, the time, the website that referred you (if any), and campaign tags in the link you used (for example, "utm_source"). This lets us see which ads or listings bring in requests. Your browser holds that information in session storage until you close the tab. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes basic technical data such as IP address and browser type to deliver and protect the site. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to send the font files.

Cookies. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not use tracking pixels. If that changes, we will update this policy first.

How we use your information

  • To contact you about your request and review your claim
  • To recommend whether appraisal, public adjusting, or another path fits your situation
  • To prepare for and carry out any work you hire us to do
  • To keep business records, including records Texas law requires licensed public adjusters to keep
  • To understand which advertising and referral sources bring in requests
  • To protect the website from spam, fraud, and abuse

Phone calls and text messages

When you check the consent box, you agree that Art may contact you about your claim by phone call, text message, or email at the number and address you provide. Message frequency varies with your claim. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop text messages at any time, or HELP for help. You can also ask us to stop calling or emailing you by contacting us below.

We do not sell or share your mobile number or text-messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

How we share information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only:

  • With service providers who run parts of our business for us, such as Google Workspace (email and secure record storage) and Cloudflare (website hosting). They may use it only to provide their services to us.
  • On your claim, with your permission, such as with your insurance company, the other appraiser, an umpire, contractors, or your attorney, when you hire us to work on your claim.
  • When the law requires it, such as in response to the Texas Department of Insurance, a subpoena, or a court order, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.

How long we keep information

We keep claim-review requests and claim files as long as we need them to help you and as long as Texas law and our professional obligations require. Requests that never become a claim are deleted when they are no longer useful, unless we need to keep them for a legal reason.

How we protect information

The website uses encrypted HTTPS connections, and requests are stored in a password-protected Google Workspace account that only Art and people working on your claim can open. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, so please do not put policy numbers, bank details, or Social Security numbers in the form.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, by emailing art@artboutin.com or calling (512) 584-1429. We may need to keep some records when the law requires it, and we will tell you if that applies.

Children

This website is meant for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
