Storm and fire claims in Austin

Central Texas gets a little of everything. Spring hail and wind damage roofs across the metro, the February 2021 winter storm burst pipes in homes and businesses, and the February 2023 ice storm brought down trees on roofs, fences, and power lines throughout Austin.

Fire is part of the picture too, from wildfire risk on the edge of the Hill Country to building fires in the city. Art inspects and measures the property, builds a line-by-line estimate, and makes sure the claim covers the full cost to repair.

Two ways Art can help

Public adjuster or appraiser

Expert public insurance adjuster

Art handles the whole claim: policy review, documentation, estimate, and negotiation. Paid a percentage of the settlement, capped at 10% by Texas law. How public adjusting works

Insurance appraiser

When the insurer agrees the loss is covered but disagrees on the amount, Art values it as your appraiser. Fee quoted in writing. How appraisal works

One role per claim, never both. A free review tells you which one fits.

Questions

Austin claim FAQ

Does my policy cover water damage from frozen pipes?

Many property policies cover sudden water damage from a pipe that bursts in a freeze, but some limit or exclude it, for example if a building was vacant or heat was not maintained. The answer is in your policy wording, which Art reviews as part of a free claim review.

Do I need a public adjuster or an appraiser for my Austin claim?

If the claim is new, stalled, or partly denied, a public adjuster can handle the whole claim. If the insurer agrees the damage is covered but its number is too low, the appraisal clause may settle the amount. Art takes one role per claim and will tell you which one fits after a free review.

Does Art work claims outside the city of Austin?

Yes. Art works claims across Central Texas, including Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Pflugerville, Leander, Kyle, Buda, San Marcos, and Lakeway.
