Dallas–Fort Worth
Storm and fire claims in Dallas–Fort Worth
North Texas sits in one of the most hail-prone parts of the country. A single spring storm can damage thousands of roofs in an afternoon, and large hail claims are where insurer estimates most often miss roof systems, rooftop equipment, and code upgrades.
DFW also sees tornadoes and damaging straight-line wind. The December 2015 tornado through Garland and Rowlett and the October 2019 tornado in North Dallas both hit homes, apartments, and commercial buildings. Art measures every building, builds a line-by-line estimate, and works the claim until the number is right.

Two ways Art can help
Public adjuster or appraiser
Art handles the whole claim: policy review, documentation, estimate, and negotiation. Paid a percentage of the settlement, capped at 10% by Texas law. How public adjusting works
When the insurer agrees the loss is covered but disagrees on the amount, Art values it as your appraiser. Fee quoted in writing. How appraisal works
One role per claim, never both. A free review tells you which one fits.

Questions
Dallas–Fort Worth claim FAQ
How long do I have to file a hail claim in Texas?
It depends on your policy. Many policies set a deadline measured from the date of the storm, and some are as short as a year. Waiting also makes it harder to prove which storm caused the damage, so it pays to get the roof inspected and documented soon after a hail event.
Do I need a public adjuster or an appraiser for my DFW claim?
If the claim is new, stalled, or partly denied, a public adjuster can handle the whole claim. If the insurer agrees the hail damage is covered but pays far less than your contractor's bid, appraisal may settle the amount. Art takes one role per claim and will tell you which one fits after a free review.
Does Art work claims across the whole Metroplex?
Yes. Art works claims across Dallas, Fort Worth, and the surrounding cities, including Arlington, Plano, Irving, Garland, Frisco, McKinney, Denton, and Rockwall.
